ANTIQUE SOLITAIRE BOARD WITH MARBLES. An Edwardian solid oak solitaire board with replacement new and vintage marbles, specially selected for size and beauty to go perfectly with this board.
There are 32 marbles in all, 27 are vintage used marbles. The other new 5 machine made marbles are equally beautiful, many with unique patterns and swirls, it's hard to tell they are not handmade. The marbles are a small size and approximately 16 to 17 mm in diameter. This particular board wasn't designed to have bun feet on the base.
This marble game would look beautiful displayed on a coffee table or side table. Not for use by young children due to the small marbles (parental supervision may be required). Condition: In used condition, showing slight signs of wear and some dings around the rim. There is a small hole in the centre, and on the rim where there is a flaw in the wood.
Some of the vintage marbles may show dings and scratches here and there through use over the decades. Age: Early 20th century (marbles are brand new or 20th century vintage replacements).
