Was, and really SHOULD be.. Unusual LARGE size and 2x COMPLETE game sets! Made and PRINTED in the Middle East, probably Damascus, Syria, or in North Africa, in Morocco. The large board: 46cm (18) Wooden Folding board. With a clasp (see photos): Chess board on the outside + backgammon board on the inside.

It is a highly Decorative Board, covered with a PRINT of a pretty arabesque / Damascus mosaic STYLE, both inside and out. (See photos of both sides). CONDITION : is slightly used, but excellent. It is pre-owned but was not used much. There are some SCUFF MARKS and very few SCRATCHES.

But as the printed pattern is so rich and intricate, they are hardly noticeable. (But PLEASE See and study their close up photos).

The chess game pieces: are made of metal alloy, in the shape of Roman/Greek emperors and imperators (victorious generals under the emperors/rulers), and Roman/Greek warriors, plus Roman/Greek iconic support columns. The game pieces have intricate and high quality details, and Bronze/brass finish. (The'white' is'bronze' silver tone, and the'black' is brass tone). They all have a soft felt layer underneath, to protect the board from scratches. The backgammon game pieces: are made of wood discs, covered in soft leather, hand embossed with a beautiful pattern on the top, and a'gripping' embossed texture on the bottom.

Each disc is finished with a beautifully hand embossed LeatherStrip, which is hand stitched around the disc, and has a metallic finish. The set comes complete with two dice.
